DESCRIPTION:Camp runs 9am-3pm\, April 20-24\nCost: $400 (Financial Aid available\, see registration for details) \nWhen spring is awakening\, there’s no better place to celebrate than outside. \nHave your kids enjoy a joyful week outdoors exploring forests\, fields\, and ponds across our 60 wild acres. In small\, supportive groups\, campers will follow the season’s cues—searching for budding plants\, listening for returning birds\, and discovering the wonders of mud\, water\, and new life. \nThroughout the week\, campers will:\n🐦 Search for signs of spring and migrating birds\n🐸 Visit ponds and vernal pools to explore metamorphosis\n🌿 Build forest friendships and create nature-inspired art\n🎨 Imagine\, journal\, play games\, and tell stories outdoors\n💧 Embrace mud season with curiosity and creativity \nEach day is guided by the rhythms of nature and the interests of the children—offering space for exploration\, imagination\, and connection. \nGive your child the gift of a spring week filled with fresh air\, wonder\, and wild adventure.

DESCRIPTION:This spring break\, become a vernal pool explorer and community scientist! \nBonnyvale is excited to collaborate with UVM Extension and 4-H to offer middle-school youth a chance to contribute to community science by mapping and spotting salamander and amphibian activity in vernal pools around BEEC’s property. \nExplore the magical world of vernal pools including: \n\nLearning how to identify salamanders\, frogs\, and other amphibians and understand their habitats\nMapping and recording wildlife activity for the Vermont Vernal Pool Atlas\nSeeking rare critters like the elusive fairy shrimp\n\nAfter a short training\, we will head outside to apply your new skills and collect vernal pool atlas data used by scientists across Vermont. Participants will earn an official Salamander Spotter certificate and community service credit!
