SUMMARY:May Birding Walk
DESCRIPTION:Start your morning with birdsong at BEEC! Join us in May for an early morning bird walk with Cory Ross of the Vermont Audubon Association and Daniel Dubie as we explore BEEC’s 60 wild acres in the heart of peak songbird breeding season. During this time\, the landscape comes alive with color\, movement\, and sound. With warm weather\, abundant habitat\, and the arrival of warblers\, thrushes\, and tanagers\, this is one of the most rewarding times of year to be outdoors. \nAs we move through mature hardwood and mixed forests\, open fields\, and transitional forest edges\, we’ll listen for the full chorus of songs and observe active breeding behaviors as birds establish nests and raise young. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just beginning to tune in to spring migration and nesting activity\, this guided walk offers a peaceful\, immersive opportunity to deepen your connection to nature and sharpen your birding skills. \nCory Ross is the Director of the regional Soil and Water Conservation District and a board member of the Southeastern Vermont Audubon Association\, where he works to advance conservation efforts and support bird habitat protection across the region. \nDaniel Dubie is a regional ecologist and naturalist with 30 years of experience studying birds and their habitats.
