Nature Explorers Winter Camp

Nature Explorers Winter Camp is for the young person who enjoys the natural world. Our goal is to foster children’s love of nature in a fun, safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive environment.

February 17 – 21, 2025

Camp for children in First grade through Fifth grade

Drop off 8:45 – 9:00 am,  Pick up 3:00 – 3:15 pm

During this week of Nature Explorers Winter Camp the group will…

  • Create snow sculptures and edible art for animals at BEEC, and bring something home for the animals that live near you.
  • Learn some tracks and signs of local animals to become nature detectives following clues left behind by animals to solve tracking mysteries.
  • Search for signs of where animals take shelter and build a winter shelter for ourselves – we hope there’s snow to make a quinzhee or snow cave.
  • Discover how animals keep warm and survive through the cold winter, and make a fire and enjoy some evergreen needle tea to warm ourselves.
  • Have lots of fun exploring and playing, guided by the offerings of nature and the interests of the group.
