Regional Listening Session: Vermont’s Conservation Plan

March 24 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

At the Retreat Farm North Barn
Pizza and cookies will be served

Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center and the Green Mountain Conservancy invite you to find out more about our State’s ambitious (and important!) goal of conserving 30% of the landscape by 2030. Vermont’s Act 59, the Community Resilience and Biodiversity Protection Act, established a statewide framework for land conservation that advances biodiversity protection and supports resilient communities.

Achieving this pace of conservation would be unprecedented in Vermont’s history. At present, State resources are more limited than was anticipated at the time of the Act’s passage, so it is more important than ever to prioritize the most crucial and feasible actions first. Increasing conservation in southeastern VT is one of the Actions advocated by the Plan. This session will be your chance to hear what has been happening, react to the draft Action Items, and share your ideas and knowledge.
